With its mission to eliminate poverty housing in Ada and Canyon Counties, Habitat has built 81 homes in the past 33 years, serving a total of 99 families. But Habitat builds more than houses, impacting not only families, but our entire community.
In the heart of the Treasure Valley, dreams are taking root. Miriam, 9, dreams of someday being an artist and an engineer. Her younger brother, Yosif, a resilient 7-year-old, dreams of becoming a doctor, inspired by the care his father, Aladdin, received after a life-changing incident. Aladdin, an interpreter for the US military in Iraq, lost his leg during a mission in Fallujah. Now, as New Americans, Aladdin and his wife Raghad are determined to provide a stable future for their children.
